Koena Mitra to costar with Orlando Bloom in English film

Model-turned-actor Koena Mitra is all set to share screen space with British actor Orlando Bloom in English film 'Karna', which will be produced by Pritish Nandy Communications.

The film that is scheduled for release next year and is peppered with a lot of fight sequences will portray the athletic actress as a superwoman. "I have been to Beijing and Hong Kong for the special training", says Koena without revealing much details about the new venture.

Meanwhile, at the home front, Koena is playing a 'meaty' role in an Anant Mahadevan directed thriller 'Anamika,' based on the novel 'Rebecca.'

"I am also working with two new directors and the films are in a nascent stage right now," says the 'Khullam Khulla' girl, the song from the film 'Road' which shot her into glamourdom.

In the five years since she came under public spotlight, she has tried her hand at acting, modelling, stage shows and public appearances.

Looking back at her momentous years in the glamour industry, Koena believes that she has meticulously waited and worked to get big banner films.

"I think big banner names have an added advantage of getting a good response from the audience but one has to work hard also because even such films can fall flat. I have rejected a lot of films and item songs and I think that has been a wise decision,"

Kerr may have been upgraded to starring "angel'' status in the world's most watched parade but Confidential hears she was feeling more devil-may-care at the after party.

Hollywood stars Kate Hudson and Orlando Bloom have sparked rumors of a new romance after they were caught kissing at a Halloween party.

The pair got together at a bash Hudson threw at her home in Pacific Palisades, Calif., on October 27, and the actress didn't care who saw them -- including her recent ex, actor Dax Shepherd.

An insider tells OK! magazine, "Kate and Orlando were talking, drinking and laughing. Then they just started going at it. They made out for ages and looked like they were really enjoying themselves. They didn't care who was watching.
"After that first make-out session, they walked around and talked to everyone as a couple. They were inseparable for the rest of the night."

Another onlooker adds, "At one point, Kate and Orlando were kissing in front of Dax. But he didn't seem to care at all."

Hudson's divorce from The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson was finalized just two days before her kissing marathon with Bloom, on October 25.

Other guests at the party included another rumored hot new Hollywood couple, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon.

Orlando Bloom has reportedly been spending this past weekend romancing Australian model Miranda Kerr - which has fueled speculation that the the pair are dating.
In April this year, Orlando was seen house-hunting and took Miranda on a double-date at exclusive Asian restaurant Megu, in New York, over the weekend.
According to the Sunday Telegraph newspaper (Australia) the pair were apparently “smitten” with each other.
An onlooker said: “They looked really happy together, and spent most of the evening cuddling and touching each other. They definitely looked like a couple.”
The pair have previously denied they were a couple, with Miranda saying: “Orlando is a nice guy but we’re just friends. We actually ran into each other by coincidence and then someone took a photo, turning a molehill into a mountain.”
Orlando has also recently been linked to former ‘Friends’ actress Jennifer Aniston, but denied they were anything more than “just good friends”

Orlando Bloom is lucky

Orlando Bloom is grateful to the emergency services who came to his immediete rescue Actor Orlando Bloom feels lucky to be alive after escaping a car crash in Los Angeles unscathed. The Pirates of the Caribbean star was driving through the city when he crashed into a stationary car during a chase with photographers last month. He escaped unhurt, but one of his passengers suffered a fractured neck. But Bloom says the group was relieved to have escaped without serious injury thanks to the emergency services who attended the scene. He tells US talk show host Larry King, It wasn’t a very pleasant situation. But yeah, it is all being resolved. And thankfully, you know, everyone involved is safe and making swift recovery. The police and emergency services came remarkably quickly, we were very lucky. Very lucky indeed. Bloom was under investigation of a felony hit and run because he initially left the scene of the accident after reporting it, but the Los Angeles District Attorney ruled he will not be prosecuted.
